Dewan Architects & Engineers has been at the forefront of the Middle East’s architectural and engineering design sector for over four decades. Its founder, Mohamed Al Assam, who currently serves as Chairman and Managing Director, established Dewan’s first office in Abu Dhabi in 1984. The firm cemented its presence as a major player in the regional architectural scene with the successful completion of its first high-rise commercial project, Baniyas Tower, in 1988.

In 1999, Dewan expanded with a Dubai design studio, which quickly became a key contributor to the emirate’s evolving skyline. Dewan is recognised as a global multidisciplinary practice, ranking among the top three firms in the region and within the top 50 globally, according to leading industry publications and peer reviews. In recent years, Dewan has continued to innovate and expand, opening new offices in Egypt and India and undertaking landmark projects such as the Riyadh Metro and the Dubai Creek Tower.

As part of its commitment to nurturing young architects, Dewan’s Internship Programme offers a paid three-month internship (10,000 AED per month) to the second—and third-place winners of the Graduation Projects Award. The internship package also covers accommodation costs.

Internship Conditions

– The intern must obtain their visa after confirming their preferred start date with Tamayouz.
– The intern is responsible for securing accommodation within the allocated 5000 AED budget, which Dewan will fully cover.
– Flights to the internship location are not included in the sponsorship package.
