Tamayouz Excellence Award and the University of Technology Sign a Scientific Cooperation Agreement

Tamayouz Excellence Award and the University of Technology in Iraq have signed a Scientific Cooperation Agreement aimed at strengthening academic collaboration and reinforcing the partnership between the two parties. The agreement establishes a framework for the exchange of knowledge and expertise, creating new opportunities for cooperation in the fields of architecture, design, and education. This includes participation in conferences and seminars, the organisation of training programmes, collaboration in academic and research activities, and joint initiatives in promotion.

The agreement also includes the University of Technology in Iraq joining the Global Tamayouz Excellence Award Network, becoming part of an international academic and professional community that aims to enhance communication and facilitate the exchange of knowledge and expertise between educational institutions and professionals in the fields of architecture and design.

Under this agreement, students from the University of Technology in Iraq will have the opportunity to register free of charge for the Dewan Award for Architecture 2026 – AgriTectural Village and the Rifat Chadirji Prize 2026 – The Right to Landscape. This opportunity enables students to participate in international competitions and benefit from the platforms provided by Tamayouz Excellence Award to support emerging talents and strengthen their presence at regional and international levels.

The first party was represented by Professor Dr Mohsin Noori Hamzah, President of the University of Technology, on behalf of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, University of Technology in the Republic of Iraq, while the second party was represented by Ahmed Al-Mallak, the Founding Director of Tamayouz Excellence Award.

This agreement marks an important step towards strengthening academic and international collaboration, supporting joint initiatives that contribute to the advancement of education and scientific research, and promoting knowledge exchange in the fields of architecture and design.
