Tamayouz is an award that fosters connections, collaboration, and knowledge exchange among emerging architects. Through its events, it creates opportunities for learning, mentorship, and professional growth. The award showcases outstanding graduation projects globally, celebrating architectural innovation and diverse talent. By recognising young architects early in their careers, Tamayouz boosts their confidence and highlights their potential to shape the future of architecture. It provides a platform for collaboration and mutual support, nurturing the next generation of architects and reinforcing their role in advancing the built environment and positively impacting their communities.
The First Prize winner will receive a two-year MSc Scholarship at the Polytechnic University of Milan, along with the Tamayouz Medal, a certificate, and an invitation to attend the annual ceremony and international design workshop, with travel and accommodation covered by Tamayouz.
The Second Prize is a three-month paid internship with Dewan Architects + Engineers in Dubai, in addition to a certificate and an invitation to attend the annual ceremony and international design workshop, with travel and accommodation covered by Tamayouz.
The Third Prize winner will also receive a three-month paid internship with Dewan Architects + Engineers in Dubai, along with a certificate and an invitation to the annual ceremony and international design workshop, with travel and accommodation covered by Tamayouz.
The Fourth Prize consists of a three-month paid internship with AJi Group in one of their regional offices in Abu Dhabi, Amman, Dubai, Muscat, or Riyadh, as well as a certificate and an invitation to the annual ceremony and international design workshop, with travel and accommodation covered by Tamayouz.
The Fifth Prize offers another three-month paid internship with AJi Group in one of their regional offices in Abu Dhabi, Amman, Dubai, Muscat, or Riyadh, together with a certificate and an invitation to the annual ceremony and international design workshop, with travel and accommodation covered by Tamayouz.
In addition to the main prizes, five Honourable Mentions will be awarded, each receiving a certificate and an invitation to attend the annual ceremony.
Tamayouz also recognises academic excellence through two special awards. The Supervisor of the Year Award is given to the supervisor of the winning project or the supervisor with the most entries in the Top 10, and includes the Tamayouz Medal and a certificate. The School of the Year Award is presented to the university of the winning project or the university with the most entries in the Top 10 and is recognised with the Tamayouz Medallion.
A Special Award will be presented to the top graduation project submitted by an Iraqi student, offering a two-year MSc Scholarship at the Polytechnic University of Milan. This award replaces the former Iraqi Graduation Projects Category.
Beyond the prizes, the shortlisted and longlisted projects will be featured in Tamayouz’s online publications and social media platforms. As part of its commitment to showcasing excellence in architectural education, Tamayouz is launching the World’s Top 100 Graduation Projects Platform, an online initiative highlighting the best graduation projects received from around the world.
All winners mentioned above will be invited to attend the Tamayouz Award Annual Ceremony. Flights and accommodation will be fully covered for the Top 5 winners of the Tamayouz International category only.
A few conditions apply. If the First Prize winner is a group entry or a joint winner, the scholarship value will be split evenly among the winners. If the Top 5 Prizes are awarded to a group rather than an individual, all team members will be invited to the ceremony, but Tamayouz will only cover the travel expenses for one person. Similarly, for internship prizes, if the winner is a group or joint entry, the internship duration will be divided among the winners.
The Supervisor of the Year Award and the School of the Year Award are determined based on the number of projects in the Top 10. If a single supervisor or university has the most entries, they receive the award. However, if two or more supervisors or universities have the same number of Top 10 entries, the award goes to the supervisor and university of the highest-scoring student among them.
Winners are responsible for all travel-related arrangements, including visas, insurance, tests, and vaccination certificates where required.
Ceremony flights will be booked from the winner’s city of residence at the time of registration.
