Tamayouz International Graduation Projects Award 2021 – Shortlist Announcement

Tamayouz Excellence Award is delighted to announce the shortlisted Top 20 finalists for its International Graduation Projects Award 2021.

Selection for the longlist was made based on the award’s assessment criteria, highlighting aspirational and transformative projects that tackle local and global challenges through holistic understandings of context.

The award is open to students of architecture, urban design, urban planning, architecture technology and landscape design worldwide. The award aims to recognise excellence in architectural design and education worldwide and showcase excellent architectural examples to promote and provoke architectural debate.

This year, Tamayouz Excellence Award for International Graduation projects received 485 submissions, representing 153 universities and 41 countries. This year’s submission reflected the challenges caused by the pandemic as we as the limitations of online teaching and online design studios.

2021 Prizes

First prize
An MSc Scholarship for 2 Years at the University Polytechnic of Milan sponsored by the Iraqi Business Council in Jordan + Tamayouz Medal + Certificate + An invitation to attend the annual ceremony and the international design workshop (travel and accommodation covered by Tamayouz).

Second prize
A three-month paid internship with Dewan Architects + Engineers in Dubai + Certificate + An invitation to attend the annual ceremony and the international design workshop (travel and accommodation covered by Tamayouz).

Third prize
A three-month paid internship with Dewan Architects + Engineers in Dubai + Certificate + An invitation to attend the annual ceremony and the international design workshop (travel and accommodation covered by Tamayouz).

7 X Hnourable mentions

Certificate +  The winners of the 7 Honourable Mentions will receive scholarships to study Regenerative Architecture & Ecological Design with Ecodemia.org.uk + Invitation to attend the annual ceremony

– Muhsen Zaki: Architect, Urban Planner and Writer– Sweden.

– Ra’ed Wahbeh: Director at Minimalists Architects, Jordan.

– Sebastian Hicks: Architect and Course Director of Architecture MArch at Coventry University.

– Shakir Khulaif: Director at BIMLab, Jordan.

– Silan Yip Levelle: Architect and Assistant Professor at Coventry University, UK.

– Ossaid Al-Eitan: Coordinator of the Tamayouz Excellence Award for International Graduation Projects (Non-voting facilitator).
